That's what the "memo" field is for. :-)

Seriously, the last apartment I was in, even with the address on the
check, they'd always write "<building> - <unit>" (ie, 123-201) on the
check.  After the first few, I just started writing it (legibly) in
the memo field, so as to save time when I went to pay in person.  You
could always check with your leasing office to find out if they
already do something like that.
