 	Easier said than done.

Some of us who run Gnome do use Konqueror and occasional
other kde apps, and therefore install a lot of it. Using pirut
under Fedora, I not only check KDE, but go through the options,
taking a dozen or two.

Some here may recall that I took up an interest in
editors and word processors some months back; so I've been
wanting to get Kate at least to try along with the others.

But I have yet to get it, or to figure out what more to
install in order to. (Pirut doesn't list it separately.)

I do have kdebase-3.5.8-9.fc8; I'm not going to install
koffice unless there's a way to keep it to a rock bottom -- like
for instance having only openoffice-writer, and nothing whatever
else from OO. I have the gleeful luxury of not needing any of the
rest. Ah, retirement! <grin>

So what else do you have to swallow to get Kate? If
it's part of something like OO was before modularizing, no
thanks.
