One I have not yet seen mentioned is gvim.  It is a GUI for vi.   All 
the little icons are there so folks don't have to remember the toggle 
functions.  I'm a vanilla vi person myself (although truthfully I had to 
be dragged kicking and screaming to vi almost 20 years ago, but it was 
the only editor on the *NIX system at that time).

Now I have vi and gvim on our systems for those who flat-out refuse to 
use an non-GUI tool.

Just adding one more tool to the toolbox.
