This is very detailed, I hope I don't leave something out. I have a ATI radeon
9200 AGP card. Using video driver "RV280 5961".
I'm trying to add 3D support. In order to accomplish this, I think I have one
of two things I can do:
1. Enable the 3D acceleration option under the graphic card setup in Yast. If
I enable this, and then do the recommended "test", I get back the following
message in a dialog box:
"Testing Configuration Failed
For further info, refer to the file /var/log/Xorg.99.log. The following report
has been created from the colling instance:
SaX library: Success
X configuration: Parse error on line 118 of section Modes in file
/var/lib/sax/xorg.conf Modeline Hdisplay expected"
Line 118 contains:
Modeline "<undefined>x" 220 <undefined>
This line does not appear in /etc/X11/Xorg.conf
I'd be happy to send the Xorg.99.log file, if I saw anything in there that
shed some light on this.

2. Need to change the video card driver from "RV280 5961" to ???.
I'm trying to follow the following procedure:
http://en.opensuse.org/ATI
But I'm getting hung up installing the drivers (dependency conflicts).
Doing `uname -r` returns
2.6.22.5-2-bigsmp
So I think I need to add the ati-fglrxG01-kmp-bigsmp package, plus the
x11-video-fglrxG01 package. They seem to be butting heads. Having dependency
problems installing. I skipped section 1.1 (of the above procedure), thought
it would be better to add the repositories, but who the hell knows.
Any (and all) help very appreciated.
I was going to buy a new card, but I want to give this one a chance.
TIA,
Jay Hart
