Hi, Greg. In addition to the resources mentioned by others,

O'Reilly:

_HTML & XHTML: The Definitive Guide_, Chuck Musciano & Bill Kennedy
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/html6/index.html

_Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide_, Eric A. Meyer
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/css2/index.html

The _Pocket References_ for these books are also useful.

I also like this Firefox extension:
Web Developer is great for looking at structure, finding errors,
validating links, and oodles of other stuff (including XHTML)
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60

Finally, in this field, nothing beats plagiarism!
