I'm not entirely opposed to "fixes" like this - I actually have a couple of
netgear PCI ethernet cards still in their box in shrink wrap (how strange is
that), Unfortunately, I have one of these SFF (short form factor) computers
by shuttle and there are no PCI slots in the machine. I've loved the
aethetics, quality build and many other features - but lack of expanability
is a definte negative...
I have 1 available PCI-express 1x slot available - though I'd really like to
leave it open for future expansion and get the built-in ethernet working. It
works great on XP - so I know that it *can* work... ;-)
