Yes and no.

Now if your point is that a submitted an exact bug report and/or fix 
would have been the best of all possible worlds, I won't disagree. I 
know all the Net and Open Source Protocols.

And indeed, some of my own code is in emacs and other GNUtilities.

But I'm getting lazy in my Old Age.

So take my advice where useful and Be Grateful.
