[Novalug] Linux now fully installed. FINALLY ! !

Hi Friends,

Wow... finally, I have CentOS Linux installed from DVD.  Thanks, Xandy for creating the DCs/DVDs.  

I was shocked at how simple installing CentOS was on DVD.  I opted to install everything from the DVD. I had tons fo problems with XP installing new hardware.  Linux didnt cough a single time, and recognised the dual layer DVD.  Later, powered down, installed a SCSI LDV contoller card, and drive, and it booted slow as molasses, but did recognise the drive. Booting XP was also  slow with the SCSIs.

Did an update of installed packages.  Got AOL IM working... I am really impressed where Linux has moved to, since not touching it for... 6 years?  Wow.

There were a lot of problems getting it insalled; mostly media and hardware problems.  However, solving each one provided a lot experience.  Im glad it wasnt an easy path first time around.
