What I like about Openmoko is that it enables the customization of the 
mobile service experience to suit the exact needs of the user and as 
opposed to those needs as perceived by the service providers. It will be 
interesting to see which, if any of the U.S. mobile service providers 
decide to support this concept and, for the time being, it will be 
limited to those who operate GSM networks since the initial hardware is 
based on GSM radio technology and not CDMA.
