[Novalug] fun little photo project - lenticular images

I recently ran across how to make lenticular images at:
http://photojojo.com/content/diy/how-to-make-lenticular-images/
This is a little process that let's you take two different pictures and combine
them in strips to produce a third image that is twice as wide. You then fold
the new image at the strips and put that in a frame. You should be able
to see each image depending on the angle you view it at.
Doing that is a neat little thing for gifts. However, copying the
image strips is
a somewhat manual effort so I wrote a crude little perl script
(attached) to do the
image combining to produce a jpg output image. My perl fu is weak
however so the warranty expired the moment that you read this.
I looked around for a while to see if I could find something that already did
this and didn't have any luck but I'm sure there are many other ways to
do it that are probably easier/better/more reliable.
The photojojo.com site is very good for neat little projects btw.
If you give it a shot and have any questions or suggestions let me know.
Doug
