Well there is always AFS (both openafs/arla).. which supports
windows/linux/OSX/ some bsds. It requires a bit more reading and work, but
once its up and running its very good, and very scalable. (we have 4
terabytes of storage on it at work, spread over a bunch of machines.. and I
have a good half terabyte at home)
