Tom,

I don't know about Staple's current net price after discount, but the 
best prices I have found for ink cartridges have been  those of Atlantic 
Exchange. Here is the url to their www site:

You do have to pay for shipping but I found that by purchasing several 
cartridges at a time (not an unreasonable thing to do with 4 printers + 
a fax machine in the house) I have saved money relative to the prices 
that places like Staples, Best Buy, and Office Depot have offered for 
the cartridges that I need/use.
