Yeah, Bob Muglia announced it at the keynote this morning at Tech Ed
(which I have the dubious pleasure of attending). He was in the middle of
a bit about how Microsoft has been getting more interoperable lately, such
as working with vendors like JBoss. He announced the Xandros deal,
mentioning such things as intellectual property assurance (though he left
off comment about "protection money", "Vinny", and "kneecaps"). He then
went on to talk about how interoperability is being built into more and
more Microsoft products and platforms, so "interoperability will be
built-in automatically for anything built on Microsoft products." Hm.
