[Novalug] Unlocking MS Word file?

I have a Word file that I opened in OpenOFfice (v2.04).  I need to
correct a few things but the Word file is locked.  Does anyone know how
to unlock it??  I looked quickly but don't readily see anything that
makes sense.  I've seen this before but it wasn't an issue big enough
where I wanted to correct it.... this time it's a tad different.
