I had to drop out of the Linux scene for a while--my contracts took me
through the Windows Underverse for a few years there. Now I'm back with
SuSE 10.2 on my old dual-K7 box and I'm feeling much better, thanks.
Anyway, what's happening in the Linux world with the Zaurus PDA's. There
was some enthusiasm there for a while, but I haven't seen much about it
these last few weeks. Has Sharp dropped it entirely? I've seen the
SL-C3200 for sale at $799 from a company that, quote, "Does and excellent
job of translating" the device from japanese to English--except for the
help files.
Eight hundred smackers is a tad much. Has anyone put Linux on a Palm
Lifedrive? I have one, but the hard disk died and we're now in negotiation
to get that replaced.
