Procmail works on the server as the MDA, so it should filter your mail
just as it always has. I think pine puts mbox files in a directory
called Mail, which I presume you're using on the server? Which protocol
are you going to use to retrieve your mail?
I like to use IMAP and I use both Thunderbird on Windows and Sylpheed on
Linux (because the machine is slower). On the server the directory I
keep my mailboxes in is under ~/mail/ and both Sylpheed and Thunderbird
allow me to specify this as my default IMAP location or namespace or
whatever they call it. If you do something like this, you should be
able to use pine in conjunction with Sylpheed easily. Otherwise, if you
want to use POP... you may only have access to your inbox file, I'm not
sure. If that's the case, one easy thing to do is move all your mail
to the inbox before you download it.
I opted to go with Sylpheed instead of Claws, does anyone know the
difference?
