I have a G4 powerbook and have had no problems.  I didn't install
etch recently, but rather have been running unstable and upgrading
as a I go along for about a year now.
Occasionally if I cold boot the screeen looks like bad tv reception,
but I've had this happen in both OS's and a reboot usually clears
it up.
