Incidentally, I have Comcast Cable. I had a multiple hour outage the other
day - followed by intermittent on and off access. This was accompanies by
total loss of service on my Cable TV as well - so something major was
underfoot. When I contacted Comcast multiple times - I finally found out
that there was a wide area of outage - though they would not say how much.
Before that, the person instructed me to have a service call - the first
available appointment was Thursday - not blazing fast service, eh?
I might switch over to FiOS one of these days if I can persuade them not to
cut the copper wires - I'm interested to hear other's experiences with FiOS.
