 	This puzzles me. I use gnome-terminal constantly, opening 
half a dozen tabs with several profiles. Two things affect the 
dimensions: it changes when I open a tab with a profile set to a 
different font size, and also *sometimes* (especially after a 
disorderly shutdown, such as in a power failure when the UPS 
doesn't last long enough).

 	Otherwise, I always get the size in my logon (which is 
configured to be saved automatically).

 	Font sizes come under "edit profile" from the menu bar 
(which is enabled by right clicking in the body of the terminal). 
The help manual is available by right clicking on Help in the 
menu bar.

 	What am I missing? I.e., what are you asking that neither 
logon autosave nor the help manual answers?
