Check whether the builders used a proper junction box for the electrical receptacles supplying the two items with power. If not, or they used small ones, or they're offset so you can squeeze a cable between them and the oustides of their holes, you could try snaking it between them. Just BE VERY CAREFUL!
Or, call you rental office, landlord, whatever, and ask if they can arrange to have the second room wired for cable. Or, ask if the cable company will come do it for free, and ask the office/landlord if they wouldn't mind. Once the cables are run, you can probably play with what connects to what how, to accomplish what you want.
