I live in Sterling I can't say that I will miss any of the current member that lost job their yesterday. But some how I feel I am in the middle of the Animal Farm novel and at the end we find out that there in the end is no difference between the two different "leaderships". I am sceptical that smart growth will work and will and turn into nothing more then corrupt group that was in charge. I just can't believe anything a politician tells me even if they tell me the sky is blue I would get a second opinion on the manner. FAIRFAX county is looking better everyday.

Congratulations to Stevens Miller on his victory in yesterday's election! This
NoVALUG member is now the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors member
representing the Dulles District. He defeated incumbent Stephen Snow and I must
say there was not a member more deserving of a defeat than Snow. He had gone on
the record stating he would actively work against the best interests of the
board by assisting lawyers who wanted to sue the board over their smart growth
policies.
Running a close second in "Loudon BoS incumbent defeats that made me smile" was
Andrea McGimsey's defeat of Bruce Tulloch in the Potomac district (the district
in which I live). With York retaining the chair, Burton and Kurtz retaining
their seats, Burk defeating Clem, and Buckley defeating Staton, the voters in
Loudoun county have given these folks a clear message that we're in favor of
limited and smart growth, and a mandate to do whatever is necessary to
accomplish that goal. Waters and Delgaudio are still in there, but Waters has
crossed the party line before. I see a lot of 7-2 and 8-1 votes over the next 4
years.
