An active Nokia tablet user does a quick comparison of the Nokia 810 vs the
Asus EeePC.

I have a Nokia 770 and have been considering upgrading:

Nokia 800 - approx $230 or so "street price". Extra SD card slot, same CPU
as the 810 and will run OS2008.
Nokia 810 - at least $450 or so and initially limited availability. Do I
need GPS and built-in keyboard for $200+ more? (I want <> I need)
Asus EeePC - approx same price as the 810 or a little less. Not as
portable, but more likely to run larger variety of Linux apps. Didn't
realize it lacks BT (BT tether to my phone has been a lifesaver for using my
770)

Right now, I'm leaning towards getting an 800, and a BT keyboard if I really
need one.

Anyone else itching for some cheap portable Linux? (although my 1999-vintage
Sony Vaio is definitely cheap and about as portable as the Asus, at least
anyplace there's a wall outlet (battery doesn't hold a charge), it's getting
long in the tooth.)

Steve
