[Novalug] OO Frustration

I've re-installed Open Office.

I can import .csv, .xls, and .odf. I can't export any of them. I'm getting 
a "general I/O error" whatever the heck that is.

I tried KOffice. It works perfectly and it's much faster, but the only format 
I can't export to is .xls which brings me back to where this all started.

AAARGH!
