Eek, good luck on that one.

Does it have to live on the phone?  Unless you need some specific
hardware or integration with on of the apps, why not go the web
route*?  You get the benefit of not having a custom app for one
particular phone and have the potential for using it on future phones
and for others... otherwise the version differences and difficulties
are a huge pita.

*  I've been doing mobile apps for quite a while and am rolling out a
new web-based platform that handles publishing and interactions.
