connections via my cell can be expensive. writing an application
on the phone just seemed like an interesting way to pass some time.
i've never done it so it seemed like something interested to do.

i have a nokia series-S40 java engine on it so applications can
certainly be downloaded and run. after some more exploration, it
seems that nokia provides an SDK free of charge, but it runs on
windows only.

my only guess now is to use an emulator, but the ones i've seen
seem to require that i buy a windows license to load under the
emulator. that just won't work.
