[Novalug] Ubuntu update/reinstall has resulted in CD's coming up as owned by root

Thanks to your help as a group I updated/reinstalled my Ubuntu from a
mixed Edgy/Dapper installation to Feisty which has fixed a lot of stuff
which was not working. Now cc finds gcc, CPAN works from perl, etc.
I have reinstalled access to my Amiga partitions to fstab and they are
being accessed properly.
However when I insert a cd the automount brings the CD up as belonging to
root and I can only access and copy files from the cd using sudo.
Any suggestions.
