John,

The web page for OSSbiz was not altogether informative. How many usually attend these meetings? How long do the meetings last?

There is a certain "OSS biz" topic that interests me in particular: how to use OSS to provide services, as in "software as a service" (SaaS), which is one of the hottest "buzz phrases" in the "mainstream" IT press these days. How often does the SIG discuss this topic and what is the nature of these discussions? Finally, why do the meetings take place in Sterling? That is a bit too far for some of us. IIRC, NoVa LUG's attendance did not reach "critical mass" until the LUG moved its meeting place from Manassas to a more "central" NoVa location, Falls Church. Perhaps the SIG should consider doing the same.

Sincerely,
Paul Bain
