There is a chain called "Batteries Plus" that will not only sell you a 
replacement battery at a very good price -- About the same as buying online 
plus shipping for such a heavy purchase -- but will also take and "recycle" 
(or dispose) of your old battery.

I had a good experience recently when I lugged in an old UPS that wouldn't do 
anything at all.. not even when plugged into the AC port.  They let me plug in 
a new battery to test things out so I could verify I wasn't buying a new 
battery for a dead UPS..
