If you have the band-width to download an ISO why not just do a Network
install?
  With a DSL connection it only takes a little longer then the time it
takes to download an ISO.
 (: Around two to four hours total depending on how close you watch for
the few later prompts. :)

A few ways to do an Install of Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Edubuntu/Xubuntu WITHOUT
even a cdrom drive at all are described here in detail:
<http://www.ubuntugeek.com/install-ubuntukubuntuedubuntuxubuntu-without-cdrom-drive.html>

Another "NetBoot" way is described here:
<http://www.jonlee.ca/installing-xubuntu-without-a-cd-drive-the-weekend-project-continued/>

Or Google on: xubuntu network install PXE
for a number of other ideas on how to get a net-boot type install
started.

It works and is real easy to setup.
