Bleach is bad, way bad. Hand/bath soap prolly won't be trouble. I
dunno about laundry/dish soap, even the so-called "green" brands.
If I were you (and I might be one day), I'd run the laundry exhaust
line (part of the "gray water") into a patch of yard and see how the
grass, flowers, etc do. Dig a hole, fill it with gravel, bury the
exhaust hose in the gravel, cover with sod or alfalfa or sumpin.
I caught soapy shower water one summer in big buckets and watered
part of my lawn with it. Lawn did fine. I have no clue if it
affected the soil micro-organism though. On my to-do list is to
catch my own laundry waste water in a rain barrel to water my
back yard garden. I need to find out how the micro-organisms will
be affected, so that's still being researched.
Note: I use my Linux box when I google for info like this. ;)
