[Novalug] Ubuntu printcap

I am trying to switch to Ubuntu. I can't get professional help for maintenance of install locally.

Almost everything is working.

Printcap show  a generic printer and  the the  HP laserjet 4 plus.

The GUI recognizes the HP laserjet 4 plus printer is there. The  printcap does not.

I restarted CUPs and now  do a lptest > /dev/lp0 and it shows device is busy.  Beofr it printed one line and  3 blank pages.

If i can't print  I can't use Ubuntu.

Anybody got a solution.
