[Novalug] sunbird calendar synchronize

I have very light calendar requirements.  But I've
got sunbird or thunderbird + lightening on several
different computers.  These are linux/windows/solaris.
It would be nice if I could check the calendar of
whichever I was using at the moment and know it
matches the others.

Googling for the topic shows lots of hits.  But not
quite what I'm seeking.  They are about sync'ing
with google calendar, outlook, PDA's, etc.  Some
are using commercial or free third party services
to act as the primary repository.

Gee, I would think that as they are the same calendar
managers, with probably the same file formats, it
would be a straight forward task to keep separate
instances in sync.

Any ideas, or have I missed something obvious?
