[Novalug] KDE Error

When updating X.org, KDE or GNOME, etc, it usually requires just a restart of X.  I can't remember ever having to do a cold reboot of the whole system when just updating X stuff.

The only time I ever cold reboot is during thunderstorms, when I leave town, or when I update the kernel.
