[Novalug] Ubuntu 7.10 - printer 'Enabled' checkbox randomly becomes unchecked, disabling printer

Could the printer go offline or be unavailable? Has CUPS been restarted?
Look in the log files to see if you see anything.

look at who is in the groups, lp and lpadmin. My guess is you are in
lpadmin and the other users aren't
