Phil,
My understanding is that presently, linux can not write to ntfs reliably. I
am using OpenSuse 10,2. I believe that v 10.3 incorporates the ability to
write to ntfs, but I have not been able to install it on this box (I believe
there is a hardware problem, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet).
I do have it installed on my laptop and my duel-boot winxp and linux box.
