[Novalug] Embarrassing Knoppix Question

 	Thank you, SIR! It's copying files now -- took me a few 
false starts with the partitioner, but meseems I got there.

 	I do see various caveats on that page and links; but it's 
still a boon. I finally figured out that one reason some of the 
minimal distros were having trouble was that they assumed some 
extant OS -- whereas I have bare metal, plus a BIOS that I can 
*sometimes* get to.

 	That has never been a problem before, at least with 
Fedora, CentOS, or Ubuntu -- for whatever reason. If it's one 
now, I bet the installs for Puppy, DSL, et alii go better over 
Knoppix than they've been doing. With the usual exemplary Novalug 
help, I bet this bird can yet fly. I'll keep it around a few days 
while it fledges.
