We cannot get networking between our computers and the printer.

There is a dsl modem.
There is a router hardwired to the modem

The Ubuntu Athlon is hardwired to the router
The "Big MAC" tower is hardwired to the router and the Konica/Minolta
printer is attached to the Big Mac.

The Macintosh Airport wireless router is hard wired to the router
The Mac Laptop gets to the internet and the printer via the airport
My Ubuntu laptop had no problem getting to the internet via the
wireless airport.

Our roomates' windoze machine gets to the internet via the airport.

The laptop and the Big Mac can print to the printer but the Ubuntu
Athlon needs to use thumbdrive/sneakernet to get any printing done on the
Minolta.

My least skill in computers is networking. My husband is into the MACs but
does not make any effort on the Linux machines.

It seems to me the crucial thing is getting the machines to network with
the big mac so we can get to the minolta printer.

Anyoen with linux<>mac experience in the group?
