Well, it's reassuring to see you think that way -- since
I did, too. <grin>
I went into menu.lst in Ubuntu and changed hd(0,0) to
0,1; reboot failed; I went into grub edit mode, and switched it
to 1,0; it failed again; I changed it back. Maybe 1,1?
OR :
*IF* I'm reading the right man page correctly, I
could try "grub-install --recheck" -- but I can't seem to get my
head very far around that one, and don't know whether it makes
sense, or might blow me to Kingdom Come, or ....
