[Novalug] Apache and IP addys

Okay, this is getting a little trippy.  On this box, ifconfig only shows
the internal (private) IP address, of the 192.168 sort.  I can't see any
reference to the external IP address anywhere.  Also, grep finds no
mention of the external IP anywhere in Apache's configs, taking Includes
into accound.  Yet, apachectl -S clearly shows the external IP  being
taken into account.  How the heck does it see the external IP, or even
know what it is?!?
