When I went to install it on a machine with CentOS, they
told me to use the "alternate" CD -- text only. I still seem
to've managed to hose CentOS; but that was the first time I had
ever tired either a text install or repartitioning. You'd
probably do a lot better.
If I were doing it again, with CentOS still taking up the
whole drive, I think I'd repartition first, doing only that, with
Knoppix or a live CD for Gparted or Qtparted.
