[Novalug] A problem loading linux on my *NEW* Laptop??

Just the other day I went out and bought a brand new laptop
from Best Buy. I bought a Compaq - Presario T2330 Laptop.
It has Vista Home Premium addtion on it. I tested my linux
(SuSE 10.0) to make sure it at least liked the network card
and it did.

I wiped out the NTFS partitions using an old copy of MSDOS
6.22. To my surprise!?? Linux has no idea what kind of hard
drive is in this thing?

Has anyone else got linux to load on this type of laptop? I
dread having to put Vista back on and only being able to
run (YUCK) windows on it.

If there is a distrubution of linux that can handle this or
a driver and some instructions on getting my Linux on this
machine I would greatly appreciate any assistance with
this!!
