 	Well, if I ever get this triple boot project running
(and I'm in the middle of a new approach; stay tuned), I may
actually get comfortable with editing grub.conf and menu.lst
files.

 	What I've been doing, though, is going whole hog;
somebody tell me if there's a hazard I don't see.

 	Once I get an install through firstboot and get a usable
desktop, I fire up yum or pirut (usually one and then the other)
and customize like a mad b*st*rd -- making sure I have all the
browsers I can get, and uninstalling things I either detest (like
rhgb and yumupdatesd) or know from experience I'll never ever use
: all games, all forms of chat, all of Open Office except writer,
and on and on.

 	So what I want to do, if I can, is go into synaptic or --
is it "apt-get remove"? -- and take that detested bar graph
thing, along with ubuntu-sounds, clear off the machine. Why not?
