 	Hmmm .... I have several GPSs already -- is there any way 
to use a serial port or USB connection instead?

 	Also, what sort of linux software do you use with a GPS? 
Does it do topo maps? Is it subtechnoid-friendly?

 	That last point is a big one for me; I keep one hard 
drive bootable to XP just to use the legacy GPS/topo software I 
use for my hunting maps. Once I find either an emulator that can 
both run it and let it talk to the GPS, or better a native linux 
app that's not meant for war-driving and that I can handle, I can 
have a MS-free house and feel clean again. <sigh>
