 	We progress.

 	I found some release on the bottom that may be meant to 
let you get the whole drive out, but couldn't budge it. Otoh, I 
did manage to remove and replace what must be the battery -- and 
that seems to have done it. It booted to Windows.

 	So I'll try again with Puppy, and see how that goes. If 
it fails, too, I go download an ISO for dapper (Ubuntu 6.0?) and 
burn that.
