Serge,

your original email contradicts what your last email states that

"All I've done is respectfully ask that the wording of the announcement
be changed to be inclusive. Inclusivity, I'd hope, would be one of the
goals of an event, and really, how hard is it to append two words to
an announcement?"

The "Please explain ... " and "It's really a shame ..." are strong words where I felt that you have attacked a good member of this group for no apparent reason but for a mistake at best.

I WILL NOT stand for that and will defend my friends ( just as you defend FOSS ).

Besides this I believe you are a good guy just as much as Rich is.

Varol :)

Please explain to me how you came up with this number.

The Open Source movement was invented in 1998.

By that calculation the "Open Source Movement" is 10 years old.

But the Free Software movement was started in 1984, which would make
it 24 years old.

It's really a shame that you don't want to even mention the work of
those people who work hard to ensure you have a Free operating system.
