For the sake of clarity for Jay's benefit, I'm assuming this is "replace
the 'x' with the appropriate letter, like /dev/sdc".

Watch what dmesg says a few seconds after you plug it in to see which
device the computer sees was just plugged in, and with USB devices
especially assume it will not be the same every time.
