[Novalug] Ubuntu 8.04 - wallpaper and desktop items have disappeared

Easiest way? Delete the gnome directories (~/.g*) and log back in.

gnome ALWAYS causes me silly problems. 99.9% of the time, delete any .
directory that look gnome related and log back in.

you can actually look at the files or sub-dirs to figure out WHICH
dir/file is teh culprit, but I shotgun it
