For those who might have one of these gizmos - I'm looking to replace my dying
Palm Zire and move up at the same time. Upgrading to, e.g., a Palm-based phone
(with PIM capability, etc.) doesn't appeal to me much due to costs of Verizon
services, etc.

1. While maemo (sp?) probably has PIM software, I've not found anything about
moving contact lists, etc., from a Palm. Any knowledge out there on this
subject?

2. GPS: Nokia advertises GPS capability. I'm ignorant: does the device receive
signals directly from outer space (satellite)?

Does one have to subscribe (and pay $$) to Nokia?

Any experience with cost of maps?

Quality of the GPS experience?

Thanks.
