Are there web-script applications that handle the authentication to

Besides [S]FTP, what would you use for allowing remote users to
upload files to a secure location that could be accessed by a business
person? For example, upload of art files that had to be accessed by a
print shop. Keep in mind that the art creator is not tech saavy so it'd
have to be really easy for them. Also the print shop is only partially
saavy so it has to be easy for them as well.
An upload form on a webpage.
