 	Would you take a refurb? My IBM T42 Thinkpad cost $500; 
runs F8 fine off a thumb drive, and surely should at least as 
well off its own hard drive; and it picks up three wireless 
networks where the old T30 only picked up one -- not counting my 
own, either time.
